In today’s digital world, guided exposure to an array of computer skills is a direct investment in a child’s future. The pressure, expectation, and onslaught of information that comes with the digital age promises to challenge today’s youth in ways no previous generation could have possibly imagined.

Here at Infokidz we focus on Mental Math, Regular Math Curriculum, Multimedia Design, and Robotics to improve overall competitiveness of a child. Every parent wants his or her child be successful in this highly aggressive and ambitious world. Our program is tailored to meet the specific needs of the future generation. The curriculum is enriched with traditional mathematics, practical and functional touch of information technology and robotics. DANGER OF UNIDIRECTIONAL DIGITAL MEDIA USE

Today’s children are virtually bombarded by digital information. Wifi-ready televisions, multiple home computers, Internet-connected gaming consoles, and handheld devices are seemingly never out of reach. As devices introduce increasingly simplified graphical user interfaces (GUIs), young children are enticed to tap and swipe through applications before they are old enough to speak in sentences or write the letters of the alphabet.

Emerging studies suggest that some educational games and social networking applications can enhance a child’s development by provoking creativity and providing alternative means of social interaction. These positive results are observable when a child’s exposure is guided by an adult and restricted to a limited amount of time. In the real world, today’s youth are more often left to explore the digital world unsupervised with little expectation to ‘disconnect.’ Under these conditions, unending information consumption tends to completely overshadow the possibility of creative expression and productivity. Children growing up in this kind of environment are more prone to developing obsessive personalities and attention disorders. Increased social anxiety and reduced empathy are being identified in medical studies as emerging concerns. Excessive, unsupervised computer use also exposes children to increased risk of bullying and harassment, as well as the threat of online predators.

The computer revolution promised to expand our understanding and make the world more efficient, but the sad irony is that it threatens to stunt our personal development and delay global productivity. To ensure emotional, social, educational, and vocational success in the future, today’s youth require training in the tools and applications that are quickly changing the world.

FUTURE GENERATION

Computer tools and applications will have a significant advantage in tomorrow’s workplace. Tools are refined and applications are reorganized with increasing frequency, but their core functions largely remain the same. Children who are taught the core functions of word processors, databases, graphic design, and programming languages will be well equipped to adapt and succeed in the rapidly changing workplace of the future.

Completing a post-secondary degree and committing to a specific field for the next 40 years is a progressively antiquated concept. Education in all its forms remains valuable, but employers are more actively seeking individuals who can demonstrate at least a basic understanding of a wide variety of applications, and no field has more varied applications than computer studies. Employers are incentivized to hire individuals with a plethora of technical skills, because they are more self-sufficient and able to keep pace with the ever-changing workplace.

Regardless of the field, 21st century employees will be expected to demonstrate a range of computer skills, including: formatting documents, debugging spreadsheets, troubleshooting hardware problems, manipulating graphic images, creating PowerPoint presentations, updating websites, interpreting financial software, and much more. Acquiring these skills at a young age is a critical step in preparing a child for their future in the workforce.
